Dear Parents and Carers,
Kennel Lane School – Opening on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th December (Staggered Start and Finish Times)
We are pleased to share that the burst water pipe has now been repaired. However, the access road to our site remains restricted to single-lane traffic. South East Water has advised that road repairs are scheduled for Tuesday, which means we need to make temporary adjustments to our school day and end-of-term activities.
To ensure everyone’s safety, please note the following arrangements for Monday 15th December and Tuesday 16th December:
- Education transport will run as normal. All Primary drop-offs will take place via the main Primary entrance. Please note the EYFS and KS1 gate will be closed.
- Primary parents/carers who drive: Arrive at 9:15am and collect at 2:15pm via the main school office.
- Woodlands Hub parents/carers who drive: Arrive at 9:15am and collect at 2:15pm at the usual location.
- Secondary and Meadow parents/carers who drive: Arrive at 9:30am and collect at 2:30pm via the main school office.
Unfortunately, due to limited site access and possible roadworks, we have made the difficult but safest decision to reschedule the Primary Nativity from Tuesday morning to Thursday morning.
We apologise for any inconvenience these changes may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We hope to return to normal arrangements on Wednesday 17th December.

Thank you for your understanding this morning. We apologise for any disruption caused by the school’s closure and appreciate your support.
South East Water has been onsite and completed an initial assessment. We are hopeful that the issues will be resolved over the weekend, allowing safe access to the site and enabling school to resume as normal on Monday. We will provide a further update to confirm plans for Monday by 4pm on Sunday, 14 December.
